Chief Accountant Manager

About the role

The Chief Accountant Manager will lead the accounting function for Techno Gate L.L.C., based on‑site in Damascus. This senior position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash management, and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow analyses.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal control frameworks.
• Coordinate audit activities and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, delegating tasks and managing performance.
• Optimize financial processes and support senior management with strategic financial analysis.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial accounting, general ledger management and preparation of financial statements.
• Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for strategic decision‑making.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements and internal controls.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting software, ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising an accounting team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred.
• Prior senior accounting or finance management role, preferably in a multi‑entity environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Damascus and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
