Communications Assistant

About the role

The Communications Assistant supports the communications team by creating and managing content across print, web and social media platforms. The role helps enhance the organisation's visibility and outreach while ensuring all materials follow brand guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing communication materials such as audio‑visual pieces, web content and print collateral.
• Maintain digital archives, shared drives and photo libraries.
• Manage social‑media accounts (Facebook, X, website) by posting approved content and monitoring engagement.
• Support website updates to keep information accurate and current.
• Prepare presentations, news releases, workshop reports and briefings.
• Contribute to video tutorials and other audio‑visual productions aligned with the communication strategy.

Required profile

• Secondary school with 4 years relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) with no experience required.
• Experience in communications, public relations, media, journalism or related fields.
• Familiarity with multicultural or UN‑system environments and development/humanitarian contexts is a plus.

Required skills

• Graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
• Video production and editing software.
• Content creation platforms for social media and web publishing.
• Basic knowledge of website content management.
