Community Health Worker (CHW) – Aleppo, Syria

About the role

MedGlobal is seeking a motivated Community Health Worker (CHW) to join its team at the Tal Elhajar Primary Health Center in Aleppo. The CHW will play a vital role in delivering health education, conducting outreach campaigns, and supporting vulnerable families through case management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct health awareness campaigns and visits to homes and public places.
• Perform sensitivity assessments to identify cases that meet predefined criteria.
• Manage cases while adhering to privacy protocols and maintain accurate case files.
• Make internal and external referrals, update feedback and referral forms.
• Provide preventive health guidance on reproductive health, newborn and child nutrition, early breast‑cancer detection, personal and home hygiene, oral health, and vaccination.
• Advise individuals and community groups on diagnosis screening and related health topics.

Required profile

• Experience or interest in community health outreach and case management.
• Ability to follow established protocols for privacy and data security.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with families and community groups.
• Commitment to delivering preventive health education in a culturally sensitive manner.
