Cost Controller

About the role

The Cost Controller will own cost planning, monitoring and control across all phases of telecom infrastructure projects. You will deliver accurate reporting, forecasting and variance analysis while ensuring financial governance and visibility through dashboards and data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor and control CAPEX/OPEX budgets for OSP, ISP, data centre and exchange domains, tracking actual costs, commitments and forecasts.
• Conduct cost variance, trend and Earned Value analyses, identify deviations early and recommend corrective actions.
• Validate quantities, BOQs and contractor submissions before invoicing, monitor contractor performance and assess financial impact of change requests.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc cost reports, maintain cost databases, dashboards and financial models using Excel, Power BI and ERP systems.
• Coordinate with procurement, contracts, material management and project controls teams, support ERP data integrity checks and contribute to automation of cost‑control processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in cost control, project controls or financial management within telecom or infrastructure projects.
• Strong command of CAPEX/OPEX planning, cost‑control methodologies and financial reporting.
• Fluent Arabic is mandatory.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modelling).
• Power BI for dashboard creation.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and client portals.
• Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and variance analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of telecom OSP/ISP environments (advantage).
