Design Manager – Architecture (Syria)

About the role

The Design Manager – Architecture will lead the architectural design delivery for ARADA’s projects in Syria, overseeing the process from concept through detailed design, IFC documentation and construction support. Acting as the design custodian, the role ensures that design intent, quality standards and commercial objectives are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full architectural design lifecycle from concept to construction support.
• Serve as ARADA’s design guardian, maintaining approved design vision, architectural quality and brand standards.
• Provide design direction and technical guidance to architectural consultants, aligning solutions with project objectives and programme requirements.
• Review and challenge design proposals to ensure innovation, practicality and commercial viability.
• Establish and maintain robust design management processes, standards and reporting frameworks.
• Coordinate architectural design with structural, MEP, civil, landscape and interior‑design disciplines to deliver fully integrated, clash‑free solutions.
• Manage relationships with international and local architectural consultants, ensuring timely delivery of design packages.
• Facilitate stakeholder coordination across development, project management, commercial and construction teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in architectural design management for mixed‑use developments.
• Strong leadership and technical expertise with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to balance design quality with commercial and programme constraints.
