Early Childhood Development Incentive Worker (Hassaka/Raqqa)

About the role

The Early Childhood Development (ECD) Incentive Worker will support the IRC’s Ahlan Simsim program in Hassaka and surrounding areas of Raqqa. Working under the supervision of the ECD Program Officer, the incumbent will promote early learning services, raise awareness among caregivers, and help link communities to program activities.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate connections between IRC staff, community leaders, target families and relevant stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary contact for IRC access to sites and population groups, coordinating with authorities and institutions.
• Deliver information and awareness sessions on ECD services to local communities and caregivers.
• Mobilise communities, provide regular updates on service availability, and encourage participation.
• Conduct interactive ECD sessions for children aged 0‑8 and for male caregivers.
• Collect, enter and report data in line with M&E guidelines.
• Attend all required trainings and capacity‑building workshops.
• Support program staff in service delivery and compliance with IRC HR policies.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in Early Childhood Development, kindergarten education or classroom teaching.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
