Field Media Officer

About the role

The Field Media Officer will support Ataa Humanitarian Relief Association in documenting project activities across Hama, producing high‑quality visual and written content that meets donor and internal guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project’s media plan, ensuring all activities follow established guidelines.
• Capture photographs and videos during field operations, adhering to visual‑identity standards.
• Edit and package visual material using professional photo and video software.
• Coordinate with local media outlets and assist in organizing media events.
• Produce written reports and journalistic pieces that reflect project impact.
• Maintain an organized archive of all media assets for future reference.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Media, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience in journalistic writing and editing.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced humanitarian environment.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of photography equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of videography equipment.
• Proficiency with photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
• Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
• Good command of office applications and email systems.
