HR Manager - Transmed Syria

About the role

Transmed, a distributor of global consumer brands in Food, Home & Personal Care and Toys founded in Lebanon in 1943, is hiring an experienced HR Manager for its Syria operation in Damascus. You will lead end-to-end HR operations as a business partner to the Country Manager and leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Own recruitment and onboarding across sales, logistics, warehouse and support functions
• Oversee payroll, allowances and compensation administration together with Finance
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes and compliance in line with Syrian Labour Law
• Run and improve HR systems, including data accuracy and reporting
• Lead manpower planning, budgeting and HR analytics
• Maintain HR policies and documentation in Arabic and English
• Work closely with Corporate HR on regional initiatives and standards

Required profile

• 8+ years of HR experience, including at least 3 in an HR management role
• Solid working knowledge of Syrian Labour Law and local HR practices
• Preferred: experience in FMCG, distribution or a multinational environment
• Degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field; HR certifications are a plus
• Fluency in Arabic and English, written and spoken
• Sound judgment, discretion and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment
