IT Program Manager

About the role

The IT Program Manager will lead the planning, design, installation, and operation of complex information systems across the organization, providing technical assistance and ensuring 24/7 emergency response capability. The role reports to the IT Director and is responsible for aligning IT initiatives with enterprise strategic plans while maintaining compliance with audit and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate vendor proposals for hardware, software, and services to ensure technical specifications are met.
• Analyze project feasibility and develop long‑ and short‑range plans for application selection, software roadmaps, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Prepare cost estimates and resource requirements for current and proposed projects.
• Lead strategic planning for the IT group, aligning departmental goals with enterprise objectives and ensuring Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Manage the IT budget, financial targets, and oversee the administration and maintenance of the company’s infrastructure.
• Mentor junior staff, fostering professional development and ensuring high‑quality delivery of IT projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (or equivalent) with at least 10 years of IT management experience.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to produce detailed technical documentation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and willingness to travel internationally, including to austere environments.
• Strong organizational skills with a detail‑oriented approach to planning, budgeting, and compliance.
