Logistics Coordinator – Humanitarian Operations

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator will support Médicos del Mundo’s humanitarian health mission in Northeast Syria, ensuring that project logistics are planned, executed and monitored effectively across Kobane, Hassakeh and Raqqa.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and follow up on project logistics activities, contributing to annual planning and budgeting.
• Prepare national and international purchase orders for goods and services.
• Provide logistical support to field staff and facilitate the transfer of logistics responsibilities to national personnel.
• Supervise logistics staff, conduct regular field visits and propose strategic adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with the finance department on procurement forecasting and budgeting.
• Coordinate human and material resources required for timely activity implementation.
• Archive all logistics documents in SharePoint and ensure compliance with donor and organizational policies.
• Prepare and submit regular logistics reports covering procurement, inventories, framework agreements and operational updates.
• Participate in the development of mission security guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably within humanitarian or health‑care projects.
• Ability to work in remote and security‑sensitive environments, including regular field travel.
• Strong collaboration skills with finance, program and security teams.
• Commitment to capacity building of national staff.

• SharePoint for document management.
