Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

About the role

We’re looking for a creative, organised, and hands‑on Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to help grow our boutique hotel, restaurant, and specialty coffee bar in Damascus, Syria. Working closely with the Founders, you’ll bring our spaces, food, coffee, and guest experiences to life through thoughtful storytelling and engaging content.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage a monthly marketing and social media calendar.
• Create engaging content, including photography, short‑form videos, reels, stories, and written copy in English and Arabic.
• Manage day‑to‑day social media activity, schedule posts, respond to comments and messages, and build audience relationships.
• Develop campaigns supporting suite bookings, restaurant visits, coffee bar visits, events, and seasonal offerings.
• Coordinate photoshoots and collaborations with photographers, designers, content creators, and local partners.
• Maintain website content, online listings, menus, and promotional materials up to date.
• Support email marketing, guest communications, and community events.
• Monitor online reviews and coordinate timely responses with the operations team.
• Manage paid social campaigns within agreed budgets and track performance.
• Provide on‑site support to the management team for guest requests, events, and special bookings.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience in marketing, social media, or content creation, preferably within hospitality, food & beverage, or lifestyle brands.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong visual storytelling, copywriting, and social media content.
• Confidence capturing and editing photographs and short‑form videos.
• Warm, professional communication style and good judgement when engaging with guests online.
• Genuine interest in hospitality, food, coffee, design, and community.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.

• Canva for graphic creation.
• Video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
• Adobe Suite – InDesign and Illustrator.
