About the role

The Independent Doctors Association is seeking a qualified Midwife to provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care in a hospital setting. The role involves supporting women throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the postpartum period while ensuring safety and adherence to clinical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care in line with approved protocols.
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs during labor and assess progress.
• Assist with normal vaginal deliveries and provide immediate newborn care.
• Identify early signs of complications and report them promptly to the medical team.
• Document all observations, procedures, and patient interactions accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain infection‑control standards and patient confidentiality.
• Participate in obstetric emergencies within the scope of midwifery practice.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Midwifery with a valid professional license.
• 0‑2 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, preferably in a hospital.
• Strong knowledge of antenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care practices.
• Ability to manage obstetric emergencies and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and shift‑work flexibility.
