About the role
The Programme Development Manager will lead the design and implementation of evidence‑based programme strategies for MAG’s work in Syria. Reporting to the Country Director, you will ensure that activities are needs‑driven, results‑oriented and financially sustainable.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and continuously refine the programme strategy, aligning with MAG’s mission and donor requirements.
- Oversee quality management systems and impact monitoring frameworks.
- Coordinate funding proposals, track allocations and ensure timely disbursement.
- Liaise with government authorities, NGOs, and local stakeholders to secure partnerships and compliance.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management and donors.
Required profile
- Proven experience in programme development or project management within the humanitarian sector.
- Strong understanding of mine action, weapons management, or related security environments.
- Ability to work independently in an unaccompanied post and adapt to challenging field conditions.
