Project Manager – Design

About the role

Arada is seeking a Project Manager – Design to lead and coordinate design‑focused construction projects across Syria. The role involves managing the pre‑contract phase, overseeing consultant procurement, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare design briefs and RFPs, manage consultant tender queries, and maintain a consultant database.
• Coordinate authority submissions, monitor project risks, and report status to senior leadership.
• Control project costs, scope changes, and contract variations while ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
• Oversee project closure, conduct post‑project evaluations, and document lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering; Master’s degree and PMP certification are a plus.
• 12+ years of experience with at least 3 years in a Project Manager or similar role, preferably in real‑estate or construction.
• Proven track record of managing projects from conception through delivery.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Hands‑on experience with MS Project and MS Planner.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts or related arbitration courses.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.
