Senior Backend Developer – .NET & Azure

About the role

Xpress Automation is seeking a remote Senior Backend Developer with deep .NET and Azure expertise to build and maintain automotive‑focused microservices. You will work in multidisciplinary, global teams, delivering AI, IoT and analytics solutions that meet strict SLA requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse system requirements and design development plans.
• Write clean, testable .NET code and develop technical specifications.
• Design, implement and maintain microservices using API‑first and event‑driven architectures.
• Test, debug, deploy and upgrade .NET applications.
• Review and refactor code, ensuring quality and performance.
• Support junior developers and document development procedures.
• Participate in data and API governance activities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional .NET software development experience.
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Upper‑Intermediate English communication skills (B2+).
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Required skills

• .NET (C# or Visual Basic .NET)
• Azure cloud services
• Microservices architecture, API/SDK development
• Event‑driven design using pub/sub and webhooks
• Database design for structured, semi‑structured and unstructured data
• Troubleshooting and debugging
• Familiarity with Node.js and PHP (nice to have)
