Senior Project Manager (Airside) – Airport Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Airside) with strong experience in airport airside construction and large‑scale infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will lead the execution of major airside works, ensuring delivery in line with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, project programme and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage airside construction works from mobilization through completion and handover, including runways, taxiways, aprons, aircraft stands, service roads, drainage and earthworks.
• Develop and implement construction execution strategies, coordinate with engineering on IFC drawings, RFIs and design changes, and monitor progress against the approved programme.
• Manage subcontractors, specialist aviation contractors and suppliers, ensuring timely and quality execution while controlling costs, variations and claims.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (Civil, Structural, MEP, Aviation Systems, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Commercial, Procurement) and interface with terminal facilities, utilities and airport operational requirements.
• Lead project coordination meetings with client, consultant and stakeholders, and oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, as‑built documentation and final handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline; PMP or Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 15‑20+ years of construction/project management experience, including 7‑10 years as a Senior Project Manager or Construction Manager on airport airside projects.
• Proven experience delivering runways, taxiways, aprons, aircraft stands and related airfield infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of HSE, QA/QC, cost control, commercial and procurement processes in large‑scale EPC or main‑contractor environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication and decision‑making abilities to manage complex, high‑value construction activities.
