Senior QA/QC Engineer (MEP/Special Systems) – Airport Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer to lead quality assurance and control for MEP and special systems on a large‑scale airport EPC project in Damascus. The role involves overseeing multidisciplinary quality systems, ensuring compliance with international standards, and coordinating closely with civil, structural, architectural and specialist teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor QA/QC plans for MEP, ELV and airport special systems.
• Manage inspection, testing, commissioning, NCR handling, ITPs and method statements.
• Coordinate quality documentation and reporting with clients, consultants, contractors and specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to international construction codes, specifications and project standards.
• Lead multidisciplinary quality meetings and drive continuous improvement across all trades.

Required profile

• 8–15 years of QA/QC experience on large‑scale construction projects, with at least 5 years in a senior QA/QC role.
• Proven experience on airport, aviation, passenger terminal or mega‑infrastructure EPC projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification (ISO 9001) preferred; professional quality certifications (ASQ CQE, IRCA) are a plus.
