Social Behavior Change Educator – SBC

About the role

The Social Behavior Change (SBC) Educator will lead health awareness campaigns and provide direct support to beneficiaries in Idleb, Syria. Working under the supervision of the Admin Officer, the educator will engage households, schools and community gathering places to promote healthier behaviours.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing awareness campaigns at the health centre and in public facilities such as schools and community centres.
• Act as a liaison between beneficiaries and the services offered at the centre.
• Perform sensitivity assessments, identify cases that meet predefined criteria, and tailor messages to individual situations.
• Manage case files while adhering to privacy protocols and documentation standards.
• Make internal and external referrals, update feedback and referral forms, and maintain accurate case records.

Required profile

• Experience in community health education or similar outreach activities.
• Ability to assess community needs and adapt communication accordingly.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse populations.
