Social Media Specialist (Hybrid, Damascus/Homs)

About the role

We are looking for a creative, strategic, and results‑driven Social Media Specialist to manage and elevate our digital presence in the Damascus and Homs region. The role is hybrid, combining remote work with on‑site meetings and media production sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media strategies for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X (Twitter).
• Create high‑quality, brand‑consistent content including copy, graphics, and short‑form videos/Reels.
• Monitor channels, respond to comments and messages, and nurture an online community.
• Plan, set up, and optimise paid social advertising campaigns to meet KPIs.
• Track performance metrics, produce monthly reports and provide actionable insights.
• Stay up‑to‑date with digital trends, platform updates, and local audience behaviours.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience managing social media accounts and digital campaigns.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong self‑management skills for hybrid/remote work and flexibility for in‑person shoots in Damascus or Homs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Arabic; strong proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Premiere Pro, CapCut.
• Social media management tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite.
• Basic knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.
