Supply Chain Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will lead procurement, logistics, warehousing and asset management across IDA’s operations in Syria, ensuring efficient delivery of humanitarian aid.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic work plans for the supply chain department, aligning with organizational goals.
• Oversee procurement processes, market surveys, supplier roster management and compliance with donor regulations.
• Manage fleet operations, international and local shipments, customs clearance and vehicle movement plans.
• Supervise warehouse operations, inventory control systems and distribution of pre‑positioned goods.
• Oversee asset registration, QR‑code tracking, periodic inspections and master sheet updates.
• Update logistics policies, SOPs and ensure compliance with regulatory and donor frameworks.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in medical fields such as pharmacy or medicine.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in NGOs, with strong initiative, teamwork and humanitarian commitment.
• Excellent written and spoken English, fluent Arabic, and ability to work under high workload and stress.
• Good knowledge of the Syrian context and experience working with local partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant supply‑chain software.
