Technical Facilities Design Manager (Syria)

About the role

The Technical Facilities Design Manager will lead the end‑to‑end design and engineering of telecom infrastructure facilities in Syria. This includes technical buildings, data centers, equipment rooms, power and cooling systems, grounding, and civil works, ensuring they are compliant, resilient and future‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design of technical buildings, data centers and network hosting facilities.
• Develop and review High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) for all facility systems.
• Define civil and structural requirements for cable routing, duct banks, trenches and equipment foundations.
• Design AC/DC power distribution, UPS, battery bank and generator sizing with N+1/2N redundancy.
• Create HVAC and precision cooling solutions, including hot/cold aisle containment and thermal load calculations.
• Specify environmental monitoring, grounding, bonding and ESD protection measures.
• Design cable management, containment structures and routing infrastructure.
• Own design governance, review and approve drawings, MEP models and vendor submissions.
• Lead technical design review boards and vendor technical evaluations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in telecom facilities design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of international standards such as TIA/EIA, ASHRAE and IEC.
• Ability to coordinate with network domain teams and manage design risks.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
