Area Program Manager - Cluster Flores Tengah

About the role

The Area Program Manager will lead and oversee the Area Programs (AP) for the Flores Tengah cluster, ensuring alignment with national, sectoral and disaster‑preparedness strategies. This role combines strategic planning, operational management and partnership development to improve the lives of vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management for all AP activities in the cluster.
• Develop, implement and monitor the AP Annual Operating Plan, including budget, P&C and key milestones.
• Coordinate and supervise AP staff, fostering effective teamwork and capacity building.
• Strengthen cooperation with partners, NGOs, CBOs/FBOs and government agencies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Integrate disaster management, advocacy, gender equity, Christian commitment, peace‑building, environment and protection into program design and implementation.
• Prepare and manage AP budgets, funding requests and resource acquisition in line with national strategies.
• Support emergency response readiness and ensure timely, accountable delivery of assistance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading multi‑disciplinary program teams in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of national and regional development strategies and partnership standards.
• Ability to work under pressure, especially during emergencies, and to coordinate cross‑functional efforts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
