Compliance and Grants Manager – Damascus

About the role

The Compliance and Grants Manager leads the grants management cycle and ensures full compliance for MedGlobal’s Syria country programme. Reporting to the Syria Country Director, the role guarantees that every donor award is executed according to its agreement and that the programme remains audit‑ready at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full grants management process for institutional, pooled, and private funding streams.
• Ensure donor and regulatory obligations are met without exception.
• Apply consistent internal controls across all departments.
• Maintain audit readiness and coordinate any external audit activities.
• Manage relationships with UN agencies, OCHA, the Aid Fund for Syria, international NGOs, and private donors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in grants management and compliance within humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong understanding of donor regulations, UN agency funding mechanisms, and pooled fund structures.
• Ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders and maintain rigorous documentation.
