Contract Specialist – Damascus

About the role

We are seeking a Contract Specialist based in Damascus to manage the full contract lifecycle, from tendering through to close‑out. You will act as the key liaison between procurement, legal, and project teams, ensuring contracts are executed efficiently and compliantly.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with Procurement for vendor/contractor registration and qualification.
• Coordinate with the Legal Department to draft, review, and approve contracts.
• Support tender evaluation, award processes, and manage purchase requests, orders, work orders, and technical reports.
• Administer variation orders, contract amendments, and maintain a contractual risk register.
• Monitor contractor performance, enforce milestone compliance, and trigger penalty clauses when needed.
• Investigate and resolve claims, process contractor invoices, and manage contract close‑out including final acceptance and warranty hand‑overs.
• Report progress, achievements, and issues to the Project Control Manager on a daily/weekly basis.
• Respond to internal contract inquiries and follow up with stakeholders to meet SLA deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management or a similar role.
• Preferably holds a Contract Management certification.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (reading and writing).
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels.
