Finance Manager

About the role

World Vision International is seeking a Finance Manager to provide strategic financial oversight for its operations in Syria. Based in Damascus, the role supports the Finance Director in ensuring sound financial management across multiple funding streams and grants.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for programmes and projects.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, grant conditions and internal control policies.
• Manage risk assessment and mitigation related to financial operations.
• Coordinate with program teams to align financial plans with operational needs.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and audit processes.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• Proven experience in financial management within NGOs or international development.
• Strong understanding of donor regulations and grant management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
