Junior Translator / Interpreter (Non-Key Expert)

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Junior Translator / Interpreter to join a pool of Non‑Key Experts for a 36‑month EU‑funded project focused on communication outreach in North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf. The role supports DG MENA’s day‑to‑day communication activities, ensuring that EU policies and initiatives are accurately conveyed to diverse audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Translate communication materials, reports, publications, presentations and other institutional documents.
• Provide interpretation services during meetings, workshops, conferences, webinars and stakeholder consultations.
• Ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency and cultural appropriateness of all translated content.
• Support the preparation and review of multilingual communication materials.
• Collaborate with communication teams to deliver clear messaging across target audiences.
• Assist with terminology management and maintain consistency across project documentation.
• Facilitate multilingual communication during project events and outreach activities.

Required profile

• Degree in translation/interpretation or an equivalent qualification.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in the target language and fluent English.
• At least 2 years of general translation/interpretation experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience translating communication or institutional content.
