Logistic Coordinator – Humanitarian Operations

About the role

The Logistic Coordinator will support Médicos del Mundo’s humanitarian health programme in Northeast Syria, ensuring that medical supplies, equipment and other essential goods reach primary health centres, mental health services and community projects. Working across Kobane, Hassakeh and Raqqa, the coordinator will manage the end‑to‑end logistics chain in a challenging, conflict‑affected environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and monitor the procurement, transport and distribution of medical and non‑medical supplies to field sites.
• Maintain inventory records, stock levels and warehousing conditions in accordance with organisational standards.
• Coordinate with local authorities, partner NGOs and community stakeholders to secure access and customs clearance.
• Prepare logistics reports, budgets and forecasts for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security and humanitarian standards throughout the supply chain.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics or supply‑chain management, preferably in humanitarian or emergency contexts.
• Ability to work in remote, insecure locations and adapt to rapidly changing conditions.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is highly desirable.
