Media Assistant

About the role

The Media Assistant will produce high-quality photo and video content and coordinate field media coverage across Syria. Working from the Damascus office and travelling to project sites, the role supports donor reporting and external communications under the supervision of the Media Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, capture and edit photo and video material for project activities, events and official visits.
• Process, filter and format images and video assets, providing high- and low-resolution versions according to technical guidelines.
• Serve as the main technical focal point for the field volunteer network, coordinating and reviewing media submissions.
• Ensure all media outputs adhere to organisational branding standards and ethical guidelines.
• Support the creation of visual content for donor reports and external communication channels.

Required profile

• Based in Damascus with willingness to travel across Syria.
• Works under direct supervision of the Media Officer.
• Demonstrates professionalism and ethical handling of media in humanitarian contexts.
