MEP Project Manager

About the role

The MEP Project Manager will lead the delivery of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works for a data‑center and technical‑building project. You will ensure that critical systems such as power distribution, UPS, standby generation, precision cooling, fire suppression, and plumbing are designed, procured, installed, tested, and commissioned to meet project specifications and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full MEP scope across data‑center facilities, including HV/MV switchgear, transformers, LV distribution, UPS, diesel generators, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH, chilled‑water cooling, BMS, plumbing and drainage.
• Review and align contractor MEP construction programmes with the master schedule, identifying critical‑path risks and interface clashes.
• Oversee IFC drawing reviews, engineering calculations, equipment data sheets and material submittals, coordinating sign‑off with design leads.
• Lead the MEP commissioning programme, covering pre‑commissioning checks, FAT, SAT, IST and Operational Readiness Review.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor installation quality, and ensure compliance with specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Manage the RFI process for MEP design queries and chair progress coordination meetings.
• Assess contractor variation claims, extensions of time and change orders, providing technical recommendations.
• Coordinate MEP works with parallel CSA, ELV/ICT and specialist trades to avoid delays.
• Produce As‑Built documentation, O&M manuals, commissioning records and hand‑over packages.
• Track and report MEP KPIs on programme, quality, cost and HSE to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Telecommunication or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of project or senior site management experience on major MEP construction projects.
• At least 4 years of experience delivering MEP works in data‑center or mission‑critical facilities.
