Senior Environmental Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer to ensure our airport’s technical and operational activities comply with national environmental regulations and aviation‑specific standards. The role will drive performance improvements in energy use, waste, emissions and water management while supporting our sustainability agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with national environmental regulations and aviation‑related environmental requirements.
• Monitor environmental performance indicators such as energy consumption, waste management, emissions, and water usage.
• Support implementation of environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives.
• Conduct environmental inspections and audits across technical and maintenance operations.
• Coordinate with technical departments to ensure environmentally responsible maintenance and project execution.
• Prepare environmental reports and regulatory submissions.
• Monitor contractor compliance with environmental obligations.
• Identify environmental risks and propose mitigation and improvement measures.
• Participate in energy efficiency and carbon reduction programs.
• Support incident investigations related to environmental events.
• Maintain proper documentation and records related to environmental compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred certification in Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).
• 5–7 years of experience in environmental management within infrastructure, industrial, or aviation environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management system standards.
• Understanding of national environmental regulations and aviation‑specific requirements.
• Experience with environmental risk assessment.
• Ability to monitor and analyse environmental performance data.
• Strong reporting and documentation capabilities.
