Senior Project Manager – Data Center (Damascus)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex, multi‑site data‑center programmes in Damascus. The role is responsible for overall project governance, design oversight, construction supervision and client relationship management, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Govern the full project lifecycle from mobilization through handover, managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and change.
• Establish and maintain the PMC governance framework, including reporting cadence, decision‑making authorities and document control protocols.
• Support design management, overseeing progression from concept through detailed design to Issued for Construction deliverables.
• Direct construction supervision across multiple sites, including site inspections, NCR management, milestone certification and progress reporting.
• Manage and coordinate all sub‑consultants, handling scoping, instructions, performance monitoring and interface management.
• Develop and maintain the program risk register, lead risk workshops, assessments, mitigation planning and escalation.
• Serve as the primary client interface, building trusted relationships with senior client representatives and authorities.
• Administer contracts, manage change orders and lead coordination across contractors, designers, vendors and sub‑consultants.
• Prepare and present high‑quality program status reports, executive briefings and milestone documentation.
• Build, mentor and manage a multidisciplinary project team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 20 years of progressive project‑management experience in multidisciplinary engineering, with at least 10 years in senior roles on large‑scale data‑center or critical‑infrastructure programmes.
• Proven track record delivering PMC‑structured programmes with governance and client reporting responsibilities.
• Experience in multinational engineering or consultancy firms and exposure to cross‑cultural team dynamics.
• Strong knowledge of construction supervision, risk management and contract administration.
