Senior Project Manager – Data Center (Damascus)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex, multi‑site data centre programmes in Damascus. The role is responsible for governance, design oversight, construction supervision and client relationship management within a PMC consultancy framework.

Key responsibilities

• Govern the full project lifecycle from mobilisation through handover, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and change are managed.
• Establish and maintain the programme’s PMC governance framework, including reporting cadence and document control.
• Support design management from concept to Issued for Construction (IFC) and verify compliance with client requirements.
• Direct construction supervision across multiple sites, including site inspections, NCR management and milestone certification.
• Manage sub‑consultants, coordinate interfaces and monitor performance.
• Develop and maintain a risk register, lead risk workshops and drive mitigation plans.
• Serve as primary client interface, building trusted relationships with senior client representatives and authorities.
• Administer contracts, manage change orders and coordinate with contractors, designers and vendors.
• Prepare high‑quality status reports, executive briefings and milestone documentation.
• Build, mentor and lead a multidisciplinary project team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mandatory); master’s degree in engineering, Project Management or related field (advantage).
• Minimum 20 years of progressive project management experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• At least 10 years in a senior project manager role on large‑scale data centre or critical infrastructure programmes.
• Experience in multinational consultancy firms with cross‑cultural team dynamics.
