TVET Instructor – Artificial Intelligence (Damascus Area)

About the role

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is seeking a TVET Instructor specialized in Artificial Intelligence to support the design, delivery and assessment of AI‑focused vocational programmes in the Damascus area. Reporting to the Senior TVET Instructor or Deputy Principal of the Training Centre, the incumbent will play a key role in shaping learning pathways for refugees.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop AI curricula, learning guides and manuals, incorporating emerging technologies.
• Conduct occupational and competency analyses to align programmes with labour market needs.
• Facilitate school‑based and work‑based training, preparing venues, equipment and inclusive lesson plans.
• Apply adult‑learning strategies, integrate trainees with disabilities, and embed Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core life‑skills.
• Design and administer formative and summative assessments, including practice‑based skill tests.
• Build partnerships with employers, gather labour‑market information and conduct skills‑needs analyses.
• Implement quality‑assurance tools across the training cycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in TVET instruction, preferably in technology or AI domains.
• Ability to work with diverse learner groups, including those with special needs.
• Strong organisational and communication skills to coordinate with UNRWA staff and external partners.
