Manager - Financial Accounting Advisory Services

About the role

A leading client of Khibraty's Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) supports government entities and businesses in updating their accounting standards to the latest IFRS standards. The firm is looking for an ambitious manager to help drive and support this change while learning how to deal with diverse clients in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in and manage client engagements across financial and non-financial service sectors
• Work with the partner, senior manager and client to define a FAAS strategy that addresses risk and manages client expectations on deliverables
• Ensure engagement teams understand client needs and that work products are client-focused, clear, accurate and well presented
• Deliver projects on time in line with regulatory frameworks and work with other service lines for integrated delivery
• Monitor team performance against budget and share trends, developments and key performance drivers with the client
• Sell new FAAS work

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with about five years of related work experience
• Undergraduate or master's degree in accounting or another appropriate major
• CPA/CA/ACCA certification
• At least five years of audit or advisory experience, with business or industry experience matching special needs
• Strong advisory (selling) mindset and strong management skills to lead, delegate, mentor and counsel teams
• Fluent written and spoken English, with strong presentation, client service and technical writing skills

• Understanding of a client's industry and marketplace
• Ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practice and new technologies
