Materials & Warehouse Specialist

About the role

The Materials & Warehouse Specialist will manage OSP material standardization, type‑approval processes, testing, and auditing to ensure compliance with project standards and support efficient telecom network deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market analysis and benchmarking of international OSP material developments.
• Support the establishment and operational management of the OSP Test Laboratory.
• Evaluate material availability with suppliers to align with deployment schedules.
• Develop, update, and maintain standardized OSP material documentation, specifications, and testing standards.
• Assess technical and financial benefits of new materials for CAPEX/OPEX optimization.
• Provide technical guidance and training to regional teams on approved materials and standards.
• Manage document control activities, issue technical standards, and create MIC numbers for new products.
• Coordinate introduction of new materials and technologies within the network.
• Analyze material complaints, recommend corrective actions, and support RFP preparation and vendor assessments.
• Act as the primary technical focal point for manufacturers during type‑approval and qualification processes.
• Define testing requirements, conduct technical evaluations, and issue type‑approval reports.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of OSP material processes and telecom network deployment requirements.
• Experience in material testing, type‑approval, and technical documentation.
• Ability to coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams.
• Analytical mindset for evaluating technical and financial benefits of materials.
