Staff Consultant – Financial Accounting Advisory Services

About the role

A Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team in Damascus, Syria is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Staff Consultant. The consultant supports clients on financial reporting and accounting challenges, contributes to advisory engagements and helps deliver high-quality professional services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in providing financial accounting and reporting advisory services to clients.
• Support the preparation and review of financial statements and accounting reports.
• Research accounting standards, financial reporting requirements and relevant regulations.
• Analyze financial data and identify potential accounting and reporting issues.
• Contribute to client engagements and help deliver quality project outcomes.
• Prepare reports, presentations and other client deliverables.
• Collaborate with team members to complete assignments on time and accurately.
• Maintain professional standards and comply with applicable policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and willingness to learn and adapt.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
