Back End Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Back End Developer to design, build, customise and maintain the server‑side functionality of the Bonya platform. The role centres on Odoo module development, business‑logic implementation and integration with internal and external systems to meet operational and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and customise Odoo modules to support platform requirements and business workflows.
• Implement backend business logic for service order management, workflow automation, approvals, notifications, reporting and task assignment.
• Design data models, database relationships, scheduled jobs, automated actions and access‑control rules.
• Create and maintain REST APIs, integration services and data‑exchange routines with enterprise systems.
• Work with PostgreSQL for query design, performance tuning, optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Apply secure coding practices, including role‑based access control, audit logging and security validation.
• Support migration scripts, data cleansing, import/export mechanisms and master data management.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, unit testing, defect fixing and deployment activities.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for APIs, custom modules and database structures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python and Odoo custom module creation.
• Proven expertise with PostgreSQL, SQL optimisation and data modelling.
• Experience developing REST APIs and integrating enterprise or third‑party systems.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and structured release management.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile or structured development environments.
