Information Management and Analytics Associate

About the role

The Information Management and Analytics Associate supports the Information Management Unit of UNMAS Syria by ensuring accurate data handling, archiving, and production of standard information products. Working under the supervision of the Senior Analyst, the associate contributes to the operational and programmatic needs of mine action activities.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, verify, clean, and perform quality checks on incoming mine action reports.
• Maintain organized physical and digital archives of operational data, survey files, tasking orders, and field reports.
• Assist with database maintenance, backups, and data imports under guidance.
• Support the definition, documentation, and implementation of Information Management processes, focusing on data entry.
• Test and support data collection tools used by field teams and implementing partners.
• Identify and report data inconsistencies, gaps, or errors.
• Respond to data queries from internal operational and programme teams in a timely manner.
• Help organise logistical and administrative requirements for meetings, technical working groups, and workshops.
• Support information‑sharing with UN entities and partners while complying with data security policies.
• Assist in data cleaning, mapping, and formatting tasks required for migration to IMSMA Core.

Required profile

• Works under the guidance and supervision of the Information Management and Analytics Senior Analyst.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Capable of responding promptly to internal data queries.
