Cost Controller – Project Finance & Reporting

About the role

The Cost Controller will ensure effective cost planning, monitoring, and control across all phases of telecom and infrastructure projects. You will provide accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decisions and maintain alignment with approved budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor, and control CAPEX/OPEX budgets for OSP, ISP, DC, and Exchange domains.
• Track actual costs, commitments, and forecasts; conduct variance, trend, and earned value analyses.
• Validate quantities, BOQs, and contractor submissions before invoicing.
• Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and resource utilization.
• Assess financial impact of change requests, scope variations, and route modifications.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc cost reports for internal and client stakeholders.
• Maintain cost databases, dashboards, and financial models using Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting, financial planning, and coordination with procurement, contracts, and project controls teams.
• Ensure compliance with client financial processes, invoicing requirements, and audit standards.
• Identify cost risks and provide executive‑level insights and recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in cost control, project controls, or financial management within telecom or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of CAPEX/OPEX planning, cost control methodologies, and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and client portals.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (including complex functions and modeling).
• Power BI for dashboard creation and data visualization.
• ERP systems for cost tracking and financial data management.
