Human Resources Officer

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Human Resources Officer to support its Country Office operations. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Head of Resources Management, the officer will help ensure HR functions are delivered in line with IOM policies and the regional MENA framework.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the delivery of HR services, including recruitment, staff development, and performance management.
• Provide advice to senior management on the interpretation and application of HR policies, rules, and regulations.
• Collaborate with the Regional Office, Headquarters HR units, and the Global Shared Services Center to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Support the preparation of HR reports, staffing plans, and workforce analytics.
• Assist in managing employee relations issues and ensuring a respectful, inclusive workplace.

Required profile

• Relevant higher‑education qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience working in an international or multilateral organization is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and cultures.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UN/UN‑related HR policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with HR information systems and data reporting.
