Information Assistant (National Staff) – Syria

About the role

The International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is seeking a motivated Information Assistant to support its Syria programme. Working under the Information Manager, you will use INSO’s Conflict & Humanitarian Data Centre (CHDC) and Partners Portal to provide data‑driven support to NGOs operating across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the CHDC platform, aggregate information and respond to data queries.
• Manage partner registrations and membership requests through the INSO Partners Portal.
• Collect, analyse and visualise data, producing maps, graphs, dashboards and other visual products.
• Prepare and format reports in Microsoft Publisher based on raw inputs from Safety Advisers.
• Fulfil partner service requests for incident lists, infographics and mailing lists.
• Collaborate with Program, Operations and Training teams to address technical needs.
• Maintain and update SharePoint folders with relevant documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in data management and visualisation, preferably in a humanitarian context.
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
