Nurse – Clinical Care & Patient Support

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse to join our humanitarian health team in northern Syria. The role involves delivering high‑quality clinical care, supporting patients throughout their treatment journey, and ensuring strict hygiene and safety standards in a challenging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide wound dressing, administer injections and intravenous fluids.
• Implement hygiene measures including medical waste segregation and hand‑washing protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collect health data for timely reporting.
• Accompany doctors on patient rounds and follow treatment instructions.
• Support referral processes and give patients necessary information for continued care.
• Supervise cleaners and assist in medical waste management according to regulations.
• Participate in daily nursing meetings and weekly staff meetings.
• Report security concerns, infection risks, or any difficulties to the head nurse.
• Uphold patient dignity, confidentiality and a friendly atmosphere.

Required profile

• Nursing certificate with a minimum of three years’ experience.
• At least two years’ experience as a licensed nurse.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Capacity to work under pressure in a humanitarian setting.
• Commitment to humanitarian principles, code of conduct and child protection policies.
