Operations Senior Assistant – Risk Education (LICA 5)

About the role

The Operations Senior Assistant – Risk Education supports the Head of the Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) Unit in delivering risk‑education programmes across Syria. Working under direct supervision, the role combines administrative, logistical and training‑coordination tasks to ensure effective implementation of EORE activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and logistical support for EORE programme preparation and departmental activities.
• Assist in preparing and presenting pre‑established EORE programmes according to established procedures and standards.
• Support the planning and design of training packages, including facilitator training for the EORE department.
• Deliver Explosive Ordnance Risk Education sessions to humanitarian personnel, UN, INGO and NGO staff.
• Help develop Training Management Packages, training kits and related project materials.
• Contribute to the development of new methods and initiatives relevant to EORE.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating EORE tools, techniques and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of all planned and executed EORE activities.
• Support the preparation of EORE reports and statistical data as required.

Required profile

• Experience in administrative and logistical support within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Familiarity with training coordination and risk‑education concepts, preferably in mine‑action or EORE environments.
• Strong record‑keeping and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work under supervision, follow established procedures and adapt to evolving project needs.
