Resident Doctor – Emergency

About the role

The Independent Doctors Association is seeking a motivated Resident Doctor to join its emergency department. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians, providing critical care to both pediatric and adult patients in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat emergency medical cases for children and adults.
• Provide continuous medical care, monitor patient conditions, and adjust treatment as needed.
• Perform clinical examinations and order appropriate laboratory and radiological investigations.
• Develop treatment plans under the supervision of senior physicians.
• Manage critical cases, participate in resuscitation, and follow established medical protocols.
• Document all patient encounters, procedures, and outcomes accurately.
• Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety standards, and hospital policies.
• Participate in 24‑hour shift rotations to provide round‑the‑clock emergency coverage.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Valid medical practice license.
• Clinical training or experience in an emergency department.
• Ability to manage emergency and critical cases effectively.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Capacity to work under pressure and during shift work.
