About the role
Bassel Saleh & Co. is looking for an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to lead audit engagements for clients across various industries, ensuring delivery of high‑quality services in line with ISAs and IFRS.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, manage and oversee audit and assurance engagements from initiation to completion.
- Develop risk‑based audit strategies, assess material misstatement risks and design appropriate audit procedures.
- Supervise and review audit working papers, ensuring sufficient evidence and proper documentation.
- Evaluate internal control systems, identify deficiencies and communicate recommendations.
- Manage engagement teams, allocate responsibilities, monitor performance and provide technical coaching.
- Prepare and review draft audit reports, management letters and other deliverables.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of external audit experience, including supervisory roles.
- Syrian Certified Public Accountant (SCPA) license.
- International qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with audit software.
- Strong technical knowledge of ISAs and IFRS.
