Compliance Manager

About the role

The Compliance Manager will safeguard the legal and ethical integrity of IDA’s operations. This role involves enforcing donor and internal policies, ensuring all departments adhere to regulations, and supporting program planning across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and update compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor and verify adherence to donor regulations and IDA internal rules.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters.
• Liaise with donors, authorities and partners on compliance issues.
• Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to senior management and donors.
• Support the integration of compliance considerations into program design and implementation.

Required profile

• University degree in Law, Public Policy, International Relations or a related field.
• Proven experience in compliance, preferably within humanitarian or non‑profit organizations.
• Strong understanding of donor regulations and reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a high‑pressure, multi‑cultural environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of donor compliance frameworks (e.g., USAID, EU, UN).
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting tools and audit methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to draft clear policies and procedural documents.
