HLP Field Monitor

About the role

The Day After (TDA) is an independent, Syrian‑led civil society organization working to support a democratic transition in Syria. TDA develops and implements programmes that promote rule of law, human rights, accountable governance and evidence‑based responses to the needs and priorities of Syrians. The organization is seeking a Field Monitor to support its Housing, Land and Property (HLP) Rights Monitoring project across six Syrian governorates. The monitor will work directly in the field to gather reliable information on HLP risks, incidents and trends, contributing to evidence‑based advocacy and programming.

Key responsibilities

• Systematically collect HLP‑related data within the assigned governorate(s) using the project’s monitoring tools.
• Document incidents, risks and trends in a consistent, ethical and verifiable manner.
• Ensure data quality and confidentiality while adhering to the project’s standard operating procedures.
• Provide initial documentation and preliminary analysis to the central monitoring team.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct field work in Aleppo, Homs, Idleb, Hama, Raqqa or Al‑Hasakah.
• Strong understanding of housing, land and property issues in the Syrian context.
• Commitment to ethical data collection and respect for affected communities.
