Investment, Finance & Risk Expert – Clean Energy & Clean Tech

About the role

NTU International A/S is building a pool of Investment, Finance and Risk experts to support the EU‑MENA Clean Tech Cooperation project. Selected experts will be called on a short‑term, on‑demand basis to help mobilise public and private financing for clean energy and clean technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and investment analyses of clean energy and clean‑tech projects.
• Develop financial models to assess project bankability and commercial viability.
• Identify financing gaps, investment barriers and recommend appropriate financial instruments.
• Support structuring of investments, including blended finance, guarantees and risk‑sharing mechanisms.
• Perform commercial and investment risk assessments.
• Engage with investors, development banks, financial institutions and private‑sector stakeholders.
• Contribute to investment pipelines, project preparation and promotion activities.
• Prepare financial assessments, investment studies and recommendations.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, economics, business administration, engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in energy or infrastructure finance, investment analysis, project finance or risk assessment.
• Experience with renewable energy, clean technology or climate‑related investments.
• Familiarity with blended finance, sustainable finance and private‑capital mobilisation is highly desirable.
• Experience working with IFIs, EU‑funded programmes or donor‑funded initiatives is an advantage.
• Professional experience in the MENA region is a strong asset.
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus.
