Lender’s Technical Advisor – Upstream Oil & Gas / Petrochemical

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lender’s Technical Advisor to provide independent technical assessment and monitoring for financing projects in the upstream oil and gas and petrochemical sectors. The role involves advising lenders on feasibility, risks, costs, schedules and delivery performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical due diligence on proposed upstream oil and gas and petrochemical projects.
• Review feasibility studies, field development plans, reservoir and production assumptions, engineering designs, FEED and EPC documentation.
• Assess project scope, technology, constructability, capital and operating costs, schedules and contingency provisions.
• Identify and evaluate technical, execution, operational, HSE and interface risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Monitor project performance against approved budgets, schedules, technical requirements and financing conditions.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in upstream oil and gas, petrochemical, energy or major industrial projects.
• Experience with technical due diligence, project financing or working as a lender’s or owner’s technical adviser.
