Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will work across Maher Khoder Embroideries' Machinery Trading Division and its internal Production Department. The role involves installing, commissioning, dismantling and maintaining embroidery, sewing and other textile machinery for customers, as well as ensuring continuous, efficient operation of the company's own production line.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, test and demonstrate embroidery and sewing machines at customer sites.
• Perform machine dismantling, relocation and re‑installation as needed.
• Provide after‑sales technical support, troubleshooting and training for operators and technicians.
• Coordinate with suppliers on warranty claims, spare parts and technical issues.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on internal production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical or operational problems that affect production uptime.
• Monitor machine performance, suggest improvements and maintain detailed service records.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with solid knowledge of mechanics, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in machine design and configuration/optimization of textile or industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for modeling and documentation.
• Hands‑on experience with embroidery, sewing and related textile machinery.
